They are an 'All Pet Emergency Training,' prevention care, & disaster preparedness program where the common layperson can be comfortable performing triage on any animal.

Featured in Season 2, Episode 7. EPDOG Membership includes year-round, off-leash dog access to Elings Park 230 acres of beautiful land and open park space. Owners can explore any part of the park and take part in special events.

Featured in Season 2, Episode 1. Give Purrs a Chance has placed over 500 stray cats in homes. Cats currently living in the organization's two-story Victorian Mansion are allowed to roam freely and interact with visitors.

Featured in Season 3, Episode 8. Located on 5 1/2 acres in Santa Ynez, California just 30 minutes north of Santa Barbara. Greener Pastures rescues, rehabilitates, and provides lifelong care for dozens of animals saved from neglect, kill pens, slaughter houses, and factory farms.

Featured in Season 1, Episode 13. Since 1987, the non-profit Greyhound Adoption Center, also known as Houndsavers has rescued, rehabilitated and found loving homes for thousands of greyhounds.

Featured in Season 1, Episode 9. Happy Endings Animal Sanctuary provides refuge to abused or neglected horses and other domestic animals and uplift the lives of disadvantaged youth by providing a life-changing rehabilitation experience benefiting both children and horses.

Featured in Season 6, Episode 13, Season 7, Episode 3, and Season 7, Episode 9. A bond between Athens, a shelter dog, and a little girl became the catalyst that is now Hearts Alive Village. Kendall dreamed of a sanctuary where she could help homeless animals like Athens. She wrote about it in a 5th grade English journal where she named her organization Hearts Alive. When Christy Stevens read her daughter’s words, she asked Kendall “ Is this really your dream?” Kendall answered, “It’s what I want to do more than anything in the world, but I didn’t think it was possible because you work too much at your job, Mom.” The whole family got behind the idea! They started small in the fall of 2013 with Kendall’s Kupboard, a pet food bank. In January of 2014, Hearts Alive Village rescued its first two dogs, Roxy and Diesel. Today, the organization has saved thousands of dogs and cats with the help of the community, The Village.

Featured in Season 3, Episode 1. Helen Woodward Animal Center, established in 1972, is an organization where “people help animals and animals help people” by providing educational and therapeutic programs for people, as well as humane care and adoption for homeless animals.

Featured in Season 5, Episode 1 & 5. Andrea Gaines’ offers the Equine Experience as a unique way in, allowing the horse’s wisdom to show us what’s possible in somatic/bodily/intuitive communication. Staying open, using your breath, is a starting point to relax your nervous system and expand your capacity to feel more inside and in your surroundings. With a combination of coaching & facilitation, she helps you discover your own inner answers.

Haskins, author of "How To Save Your Pet From A Disaster'" and the “Save Your Stuff” series, has worked in the US and Europe as a professional art conservator and preservation expert since 1975. Fine Art Conservation Laboratories specializes in painting preservation and restoration services to the general public, the art trade and institutions nationwide.

Featured in Season 6, Episode 11. Susan Hartzler, author of the book, I’m Not Single I Have A Dog - Dating Tales from the Bark Side, is a lifelong dog lover and an award-winning writer who has figured out a way to live her life to the fullest as a single woman, not conforming to the social norms of marriage and children.

Winner of the Angel on a leash Award from the Dog Writer’s Association of America and the Pawlitzer Prize from America’s most dog-friendly city Carmel, CA, Susan has created a life filled with joy that revolves around her dogs.

Featured in Season 2, Episode 3, Season 3 Bonus Episodes: Episode 3, and Season 4, Episode 10. In 2014, Eric Smith formed the dog training company, K Nine Solutions in Santa Barbara, with the intention of training and helping as many owners and dogs as possible. Their motto is “Any Dog, Any Age, Any Problem” and they mean it.

Featured in Season 5, Episode 6 and Season 6, Episode 8. Deb Walker has owned & trained her dogs since high school age and runs the K9-Behavior Company of Roseburg, Oregon. Bob Walker is a retired Firefighter from the Portland, Oregon Fire Bureau. Bob served in Hazmat, Dive Recovery, Confined Space Rescue, Trench Rescue, High-Angle Rope Rescue, and served as the designated 'Critter-Getter' when animals need rescue. He served as a safety officer for 20 years and finished the last four years of his career training new fire department recruits.

Featured in Season 2, Episode 3, and Season 3 Bonus Episodes: Episode 5. Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Featured in Season 1, Episode 8. A graduate of Western University of Health Sciences, Dr. O’Donnell is pleased to call Santa Barbara home and to attend to the health needs of small animals within the community.

Featured in Season 6, Episode 3. Located near Idyllwild, California on 155 acres in the San Jacinto Mountains, Living Free is a nonprofit animal sanctuary whose primary mission is to rescue dogs and cats whose time is up at public shelters. We are also home to War Horse Creek, an immersive transition training program using rescued wild mustangs to assist veterans as they adjust to civilian life. War Horse Creek will be launching publicly later this year.

The Los Angeles Pet Memorial Park was founded by celebrity veterinarian Dr. Eugene Jones on September 4th, 1928, and became the final resting place for such animal stars as Tawny, one of the MGM Lions, Jiggs – “Cheetah” from Tarzan, Pete the Pup from “Our Gang”, and Topper – the trusty steed of Hopalong Cassidy.

Not only celebrity animals, but the animals of celebrities rest in peace at these enduring, revered grounds. Rudolph Valentino’s loyal Alsatian Doberman, Kabar, Mae West’s monkey, Boogie, Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall’s champagne cocker spaniel, Droopy, and Muggins, Jimmy Durante’s Irish Setter are among those interred at our cemetery.

Featured in Season 5, Episode 13. As Idyllwild is a non-incorporated town, it has no human mayor. Idyllwild Animal Rescue Friends (ARF), a non-profit 501(c)(3), sponsored Idyllwild's first-ever mayoral election. Any resident was permitted to nominate his or her dog or cat. Fourteen dogs and two cats were nominated and ran for office.

NDSDF’s mission is to strengthen disaster response in America by rescuing and recruiting dogs and partnering them with firefighters and other first responders to find people buried alive in the wreckage of disasters.

Featured in Season 2, Episode 12. New Life K9s & The Son Care Foundation partners with The California Men’s Colony in San Luis Obispo, where inmates teach future service dogs who are then presented to veterans and first responders suffering from PTSD.
